Meet Our Team - Wanda

Certified Bird Feeding Specialist

Wanda’s love of nature began in her childhood. Her family lived on a farm in the Pickering area surrounded by open fields. Later moved to Orillia and rural Coldwater Ontario. She often went hiking in the forest on the property or in the Swift Rapid area helping her dad forge for wild mushrooms. She watched her dad make suet logs for the birds and hand fed Chickadees from their porch. Summers were spent camping in Muskoka and Northern Ontario.

Wanda’s background is in tourism and the medical field. She is also a floral designer by trade. Wanda has spent many years working in a retail garden centre environment. She gained an appreciation for native plants and learned their connection and importance in our environment. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and feeding her backyard birds. She could spend hours beach combing and visiting nearby waterfalls. She enjoys going to concerts and travelling but most importantly spending time with her family.
