The Culture, Birds and Wildlife of Southern Peru: Southern Peru has it all.  Diverse and welcoming peoples, mystical archaeological sites, amazing Amazonian rainforest and the world’s highest tropical mountains.  Peru is one of the richest countries in the world for birds; it has over 1,800 species- more than what is found on the continents of North American and Europe combined.  The diversity of other wildlife is also vast, thanks to a variety of habitats.  Kristen Martyn has experience trekking through Southern Peru from the Andes to the Amazon.   Kristen has searched for wildlife and birded throughout Southern Peru and shares her photographs, personal experiences, and travelling tips for Peru.

The Reptiles and Amphibians of Ontario: There are a total of 49 species of reptiles and amphibians spread throughout the Province of Ontario, many of which most people have never seen.  These creatures live diverse and sometimes secretive lives, and to find them, you have to understand their natural history.  From frogs and turtles, who freeze their bodies to survive the winter, to a snake sometimes called the Ontario cobra, our province is full of a specialized and spectacular “herps”.  Join reptile expert Kristen Martyn, as she introduces you to Ontario’s reptiles and amphibians.  She will share some of her photographs, personal experiences, dispel herp myths and share tips on identifying Ontario’s amazing herpetofauna.

The Reptiles and Amphibians of Southern Florida When people think of Florida, one animal comes to mind, alligators!  In addition to these fresh water giants, South Florida is home to an array of snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises, crocodilians and amphibians.  There are many species native to Florida.
